ABOUT NOVOTEC

Novotec Enterprise Limited started as an enterprise in the year 1989 and due to its growth over the years was converted to a Limited Liability Company in April 1995. 

The company deals in household appliances and is the sole agent for Kelvinator, Bosch, Vestfrost and Ufesa brands of appliances in Ghana. It also deals in other brands such as Sony, Sanyo, JVC Philips.

In Accra there are five Outlets with one (1) Outlets in Kumasi for our retail distribution and we sell on wholesale basis to our distributors throughout the country.

We also have as our target market, workers in various organizations who are reached through credit sales schemes and hire purchase channelled through their unions or administrative departments, The Controller and Accountants Generals Department and in general, the middle and lower income group whom we reach through adverts in the print media, radio and electronic media.

The company has as its subsidiary companies, Novotec Estates registered to Develop and Rent Estates and Novotec Impex as Importers and wholesalers of household appliances and General Merchants.
Currently, Novotec Estates has two (2) houses in Cantonments Estates, Accra that it has rented out to the American Embassy and Alitalia Airways. It also has Ten (10) houses in Cantonments Estates adjacent the American Embassy which have also been rented out to the American Embassy. 
 
Novotec has also Invested large sums of funds in Ghana Electrometer a company established to produce and market Prepaid Electricity Meters.  


MANAGEMENT PROFILE


The company is run by an experienced management team, which is led by the Managing Director and are made up as follows:

1.    Managing Director    -Edmund Nii Lante Mills has been in this line of business for well over 20 years. He has nurtured the company from humble beginnings to the present stage. He has been on a series of management development programmes at Empretec and Public Relations and Advertising at G.I. J

2.    Finance & Admin. Manager - Erasmus G. Gberbie: MBA-Finance (University of Ghana), B.Com.(University of Cape Coast) who has over 13 years working experience in varying accounting fields, has brought his experience to bear on the department and has improved accounting reporting and administration of the company during his eight (9) year period with the company. He assists the Managing Director in the overall policy direction and management of the company.

3.    Technical & Cust. Care Manager – Isaac Adu Poku: B. ed. (Social Science) He joined the company in October 2007.Currently, He is assisting the team to improve upon the development of the product market and the various company outlets.

4.    Sales / Marketing Manager – Johannes Kantah B.A Sociology-A Graduate of the University of Ghana Legon and currently pursuing his MBA in Market with GIMPA-He has been working with Novotec Ltd for the past five (5) years.  He leads the team of enterprising sales and marketing personnel who spearhead the aggressive marketing strategies of the company to ensure total market penetration with the brands we deal in.

5.  Imports, Tech. & Transpot Manager - Samuel Johnson, holds a Cert. in Imports and Clearing Services. He has worked with Novotec Ltd for the past 15 years. He has since brought to bear his acquired experience & knowledge over the years on his present office, which enhances the Imports, Technical and Transport of the Company’s Products and Vehicles.

The company aims at providing a range of good quality appliances, which will ensure customers satisfaction.
We have in place a very reliable workshop manned by well-trained staff for efficient and reliable after sales services for its product range.

To stay ahead of the competition it intends to provide quality service in all its outlets, showrooms and its workshop.  The company is to provide the full range of the core domestic appliances to its customers at reasonable prices and at all times.

In all its trading activities the company aims at remaining profitable to satisfy its shareholder(s), management and staff .It is striving had to achieve a good corporate citizen status.

The company trains its staff on a continuous basis to ensure career development, improved confidence in staff and increase their output.  This is usually done through various methods - on the job training.

   In house training programmes on various aspects of the company's operations
  Courses organised by various institution, consultancies, educational and others.
Courses organised by our suppliers specifically for the Technical aspects and sales and marketing of the products.

Management has an open door policy, whereby staff are encouraged to come up with new ideas on communicating its new target market, suggesting new product lines that could do well in our economic environment and also providing ways of solving problems arising on the job. Management policies and procedures adopted are reviewed with staff, and workable suggestions made are incorporated in the final document. 

The communication channel in the company is a two way affair-up and down mode, staff are free to give feedback on prices fixed for products, for example:  The views expressed are considered and reviews done if necessary.
